Lotonia Ferguson

re·vo·lu·tion. (noun) 1. A powerful upheaval that dismantles an existing government or social  structure to establish a new system. As in, Irene Morgan, who refused to yield her seat,  shattering silence with defiance, forcing the highest court to reckon with the road to justice. As  in, Thurgood Marshall, who sharpened the law like a sword, striking down injustice from the  highest court in the land. As in, fists raised in Ferguson, echoes of old struggles ringing,  marching down avenues of the present, chanting the names of those struck down too soon. 2.  “An instance of revolving”: As in, a revolution of thought, Anna Julia Cooper teaching justice,  faith in action, walking with the poor, unlearning, relearning, decolonizing minds bound by  ancient chains, seeking more not for self but for all. As in, a digital revolution, once a source of  hope, now a wildfire, truth drowned in algorithms, headlines twisted, facts bent to fit the frame,  where clicks outweigh integrity and the loudest voice rewrites history in real-time.
